Chelsea Evans
Chelsea is a self-taught artist living and creating in her home studio in Macedon. Art
has always been woven into her life, but after trying art school right after high school and discovering it wasn’t the right fit, she stepped away from it for more than a decade.
Everything changed about five years ago
when she stumbled on a video of someone drawing a realistic portrait with colored pencils. Something clicked. She picked up a set of pencils, started experimenting, and rediscovered the love for art she thought
she’d lost.
Today, Chelsea pours that renewed passion into photorealistic drawings in graphite and colored pencil—her favorite mediums. She
also loves dabbling in watercolor and acrylic when inspiration strikes. She’s built a thriving body of commissioned work, creating everything from pet and people portraits to flowers, food, and just about anything a client can dream up.
One of her favorite accomplishments is a portrait she created for the University of Rochester. But what she loves most is connecting with people in her community and beyond through artwork that feels personal, meaningful, and real.
